Choosing a life coach is a very personal decision. I’d like to share with you a little about my background and how I work, so that you can choose the right coach for you.

My Training

I studied life coaching at Achievement Specialists, founded by world-renowned author and teacher Curly Martin. Martin is the bestselling author of The Life Coaching Handbook. Her school is based in London, England and has trained thousands of men and women in her method of coaching. I took the full diploma course (Levels 1 to 7) accredited by The International Institute of Coaching & Mentoring at Level 7.

Anyone can call themselves a coach. At the moment there is no university degree and no official licensing required. That’s why it’s important to choose a coach who is properly trained and certified. Each of Martin’s coaches goes through a thorough training course, including completing course study materials, writing a thesis, providing case studies, conducting independent research, developing a business plan, and we must also complete 50 free hours of coaching before applying for certification.

My Experience

In my coaching sessions I have worked with students, business professionals, new mothers, therapists, entrepreneurs, and artists. Our successes have included weight loss, getting promotions, getting into graduate school programs, starting their own businesses, preparing for motherhood, recapturing lost creative endeavors, getting out of debt, changing careers, making new goals, and more.

I am also my own success story. After years of being a workaholic and finding myself gaining weight and my health slowly deteriorating, I decided to make some changes to my own life. When I started studying life coaching I practiced my methods on myself. All coaches start out following the core method then developing their own techniques and programs.

My Programs

I became very interested in lifestyle coaching and healthy eating. I used my own experience to develop my La Dolce Vita Lifestyle coaching program. In LDVL we cover reigniting our passions, practicing a healthy lifestyle that includes Mediterranean eating, and the importance of self-care in our daily lives.

My flagship group coaching program is called La Dolce Vita Woman. This is my most intense program. It requires a 10-week commitment. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take up all of your time. You won’t need to miss work or sacrifice family time. But it gives you something to work on every day. Just for you. It’s an immersion program and requires dedication.

The best part is that you don’t have to go through it alone. You will be supported by a group of like-minded women all experiencing the program at the same time. It’s all online. And we have a weekly telephone session so you can be coached directly by me and have the opportunity to ask any questions. I’m so proud of this program. It changes lives.

If you want to sample how I work before you commit, you can enroll in my free La Dolce Vita Spring Training program. It’s a one-week email course that gives you a taste of my LDV lifestyle and gets you prepared for summer. It’s fun. It’s glamorous. We keep it light. And best of all, it’s FREE.

Are You Ready?

If you know you’re ready to take charge of your life by hiring a coach, I would be honored to work with you. But if you feel I am not the right coach for you, I understand. You have to find the best fit. Hopefully, this article provides enough information about me and my programs to help you make a clear decision.

Whatever you decide, I wish you well.

Ciao,
Donna
