February is the month of love. The most important love of your life is you. Let’s use this month to create a celebration practice, celebrating who you are right now at this moment in time. Celebrate how far you’ve come, no matter what your backstory. Honor the love you have for yourself.

How To Get Started Celebrating You

Celebrate your small wins every day. Even if you’ve had the worst day ever, there will be something positive that happened. Maybe it’s just that the sun was shining. But how great is that, right?

The more you celebrate yourself and your daily achievements, the more you will build your confidence. You will be building up evidence of your successes, no matter how small they may seem at the time.

It’s important to look to the future, but don’t forget to celebrate the successes you have at the moment.

Like Attracts Like

When you celebrate life, life celebrates you back. Celebrate what you want to see more of in your life.

What you focus on expands. As Oprah Winfrey said, “The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”

You’ll start noticing more and more magic in the air. When the Universe sees you as someone who has reason to celebrate, it will send you more reasons to celebrate.

Let’s Be Practical

Let’s take weight loss as an example. Weigh loss can take time. It should take time if you are doing it in a healthy way. We can get impatient.

When dieting, you may plateau, you may not lose pounds every day, or every week. Celebrate that you ate healthy today, that you took care of yourself. Maybe the scale didn’t move for you today, but you don’t feel so bloated. Woohoo! That’s cause to celebrate.

Let’s take business as an example. Building your own business can take time, it can take years. We see people who we think had it easy. But there is no such thing as an overnight success. You see someone’s wins on social media, but you don’t see the years of struggle.

Celebrate each small step toward your business goal. You have to because it is going to take time. Maybe you got one person to join your mailing list today. Woo hoo! Celebrate that you connected with that person. More will follow.

We’re Not Taught To Celebrate

We as women are so programmed to focus on everything we think is wrong with us. Things like social media, advertisements, self-help magazine articles, are all geared to make you think you need to be fixed. They want to sell you a way to fix all the things you are supposedly doing wrong.

Well, I’m here to tell you that you are not broken and you don’t need to be fixed. If you want to change your life, shift your focus on celebrating you, every aspect of you.

Every night before you go to bed, think of all the things you can celebrate from that day. What did you accomplish? Even if you think that things didn’t go well, what did you learn? There is always a silver lining if you teach yourself to look for it.

Train your brain to focus on the positive, focus on the sweetness of life, because it’s always there.

When Federico Fellini was making the film La Dolce Vita, he said the movie wasn’t so much about having a sweet life, but about celebrating the sweetness in life. Life is made of ups and downs, not just the good things. Learn to appreciate every aspect of life. You can’t appreciate the highs when there are no lows. They all combine into the grand soup that is the sweetness of life.

Shift your energy to celebrating you and your unique life. Be inspired by life.

It may take some effort to get away from the comfort of complaining, the ease of procrastination, and the habit of frustration. But it will be worth it. You’ll feel the shift the moment you start celebrating you, every aspect of you. As Sam Walton said, “ Celebrate your successes. Find some humor in your failures.”

Learn how to shift what is in your life so that you are not always in a state of waiting for better times, and you are in a state of being. Learn the art of celebrating you.
